The Sierra Power Corp. plant is a 9000KW generator. It is wood-fired primarily with an auxiliary gas burner. The plant ran for nine years on an SO4 contract with the local utility. The plant provided a beneficial disposal site for local green waste lumber manufacturers, pallet manufactures, and especially agricultural orchards. This green power plant is currently idle due to current economic conditions.
